It has been cold and raining a lot for the past few days, but that's not an excuse to not wear sunscreen! Even through cloud cover, you will still be exposed to UV light. Of course, you should make it a habit to wear sunscreen everyday if you want to protect your skin from harmful rays and early signs of aging.
An avid user of sunscreen, I was pleased to hear Benton announce their newest addition to their skincare family-- a sunscreen! This is Benton's first sunscreen and is made up of a mixture of physical and chemical agents.
I've previously reviewed other Benton products on my blog. What I like about Benton is the use of interesting and effective ingredients. Many of the products are intended to be used 'fresh' and so end up having a shorter shelf life.

The standout ingredient in this sunscreen is papaya! I do like papaya milkshake... but other than being delicious, papaya contains vitamins to help skin retain moisture and vibrancy.

Although not intended to have a white cast, I felt that perhaps because of the brightening ingredients, my face felt very pale. Of course, wearing base makeup over it meant that my face went back to my base makeup colour but I wouldn't recommend just wearing this sunscreen on your face without base makeup if you have tanned skin (like me) because there is a strong brightening effect. Plays well with my BB creams (Purito Snail BB and Tony Moly BCDation) and the Innisfree No Sebum Mineral Powder.

I like how the sunscreen spread on my face. I only needed a few tiny dots in order to cover my face. However, I don't think that is close to the recommended amount needed to protect the face. I am hesitant to wear more as the product does tend to feel greasy. Drying time was slightly faster than my moisture milk.
A positive is that because it has lots of moisturizing ingredients, my face doesn't tend to show any dry patches. I also like the slightly minty smell and the thick texture of the sun cream.
Since it is Winter in Australia, I don't mind how thick the sun cream feels on my face. I'm not sure how comfortable this formula will be in the summer.
I'm not going to pretend I know what the 'D' stands for. Vitamin D that you get from the sun?

- contains some star ingredients (different variations of papaya)
Cons:
- greasy
- extremely brightening (can be a pro or a con depending on your preferences)

TL;DR: Overall, I think that this sun cream is ideal for daily use and I will happily use up my tube. However, because of how greasy and heavy it feels on my face as well as how white it makes my face, I don't think I am likely to repurchase this sun cream.

I changed the delivery address as it was going to go to a place that had the same street name as me, but at a different suburb. A few days later, I got a message to say that because no one was home, the package was dropped off at a nearby newsagent...which was over an hour away from my house.
DHL attempted to deliver again at my house after I re-corrected my address a second time. My mum and my brother were home, but they were still sleeping at 9am (seriously, I wish I could sleep that late but I wake up at 6am to go to work). So it was taken back to the DHL warehouse in Mascot which is an hour away from my house again lol.
Eventually I got it delivered at my workplace.
